SELMORE KIDS
Selmore Kids serves children from birth through 6th grade. Our ministry team provides excellent care for kids every time our church is open. At Selmore, your child will always have a clean, colorful environment in which to learn about Jesus. As a parent, rest assured that every one of our volunteers has passed a background check and the safety of your child is our utmost priority.

*We use the Gospel Project Curriculum. What is the gospel project?
Gospel? It means good news. As Christians, it’s all too easy to forget that. That’s why we use The Gospel Project. The Gospel Project (TGP) is a chronological, Christ-centered Bible study for Kids & Students that examines how all Scripture gives testimony to Jesus Christ. TGPhelps kids & students dive deep into the big story of the Bible—God’s plan to rescue His people through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Each week Selmore Kids Gospel Project lessons will come from the same Bible text, but will be taught in an age appropriate manner using age appropriate methods to further their engagement. The Gospel Project will help Kids & Students
- Understand the unifying story of Scripture
- Promote gospel transformation, not behavior modification
- Elevate mission as the natural response to gospel transformation
KIDS CHURCH – SUNDAY 10:15-11:30am
Kids church is for Pre-K through 2nd grade. Kids Church nursery is for 0-3 years old. Our Kids church classes provide a place for children to learn about God at their level while their parents are in the worship service. We are going through the Explore The Bible curriculum during this time.
Explore the Bible is a book-by-book study that takes kids on a journey as they dig deep into Scripture. Builds foundational Bible knowledge and skills, and encourages them to live what they learn everywhere they go.
We have sought to model our service for Kids after the Worship Service in order to better help children transition into it. We welcome and encourage younger children to sit with their families in the service and many do. By the time children enter 3rd grade we feel there is much value they can gain from sitting with their families in the worship service.
AWANA CLUBS – WEDNESDAYS 6:30-8:00pm
Awana is 32 nights that are heavily focused on Relational Discipleship & Scripture Memorization. Through mentor style discipleship students are known by their leaders, loved on, encouraged, & challenged to memorize Scripture, think through Scripture, and apply Scripture. Each child will be given an opportunity to go deeper in their knowledge and love for God with an at home Handbook designed for their age and learning ability. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to work through the handbook with their children each week. Children will then gather on Wednesday where they will go over the workbook with their DP’s (discipleship partners) during handbook time, play relationship building games, sing songs to Jesus, and hear a Scripture focused relevant lesson during Council time.
Wednesday Night Dinner: 6:00-6:30
Adults, kids, and youth are welcome to join us for dinner as we kick off our Wednesday night activities. We have classes for all ages. Your families can join us for dinner, the kids can go to Awana, the youth to youth group, and the adults to their class.
