Missions

Selmore Baptist Church has a heart to share the good news of Jesus!  We believe the Bible teaches three primary ways to do this...  praying, giving, and going.

Praying:  We pray for the salvation of those who do not know Jesus, both in our personal prayer life, and when we meet together for worship and Bible study.  We also intercede on behalf of specific missionaries serving around the world.  

Giving:  We give a liberal portion of our weekly offerings to the Southern Baptist Cooperative Program, which funds more than 10,000 missionaries around the world.  Additionally, we collect special offerings throughout the year for missions.

Going:  We strive to show the love of Jesus to our community and region by partnering in hands-on ways with ministries such as:  Pregnancy Care Center, Care to Learn, Ozark Nursing & Care Center, and Least of These food pantry.   We are also involved in missions partnerships in Chicago, and the nation of Lesotho.
